Hi, Ellie here

Welcome to my dairy in the rural heart of Kent where my family works hard making milk - and making additional family members.

You humans are really strange living in such small groups. We goats like to have a huge extended family so that there's always a good-looking cousin or two to, er, build the group up with. There are over 60 of us now, plus we have two humans as pets; we call them Debbie and David.

We chose our humans about four years ago and they have been working for us while we increased our numbers. We sometimes feel guilty about exploiting them and making them do all the hard work but we do take them out occasionally.
Here's a picture taken when we entered Debbie and David in the 'Cleanest White Coat' class at the Kent Male Show. They lost! That's humans for you. No focus.

But of course we did well in our classes, taking yet more trophies home.

But it's not all fun for us goats. We have a job to do, too. We have to to eat a lot and take regular exercise out in the Kentish fields so that we can produce the nutritious milk that keeps our kids growing.

Goats milk really is wonderful stuff - for you as well as us. But face it, unless you grow horns, hooves and 100% body hair you're going to stay weird looking. Perhaps if you drink enough of it.........

Just like in your family, our kids drink most of the milk but our humans make sure that we keep some back to sell or turn into cheese, for sale in quality shops and restaurants.

There's a page here about the family and our posh ancestors. We're not common goats, you know. We're aristocracy. Toggenburgs, Saanens and Alpines. Yes, I thought you'd be impressed.

OK, I'm off now. This keyboard plays havoc with my hooves so I'm going to get the humans to write the rest of this website. Well you have to make them feel useful, don't you. Despite their habits, they're almost part of the family and sometimes I'll swear they understand every bleat we make.

The background picture here is one of our fields. If your screen's wide enough you can see human David playing on his little red tractor. So cute! But those fields take a lot of eating I can tell you. So much grass...so little time.
